Jason
Theodosakis, M.D., MS, MPH.
FACPM is a board certified physician,
best-selling author, lecturer and Fellow in Preventive Medicine. He has a second medical specialty (Sports Medicine) along with Master's degrees in both Exercise Physiology and Public Health. In addition,
he is an Clincial Assistant Professor and the former Director
of the Preventive Medicine Residency Training Program at the University
of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson.
Dr.
Theo is a member of the oversight steering committee for
the NIH's study on glucosamine
and chondroitin (GAIT).
His
patients call him "Dr. Theo," and he uses that name as a way to
easily identify his ground breaking treatment program that has
helped change the lives of millions of arthritis sufferers worldwide.
This
treatment program is detailed in his two best-selling books: The
Arthritis Cure
and Maximizing The Arthritis Cure These books, available
in 13 languages and dozens of countries,
utilize an ingenious, integrative approach for treating
this debilitating condition.
Dr.
Theo is considered to be one of the world's foremost authorities
on osteoarthritis treatment, including the use of glucosamine/chondroitin, ASU, HA, MSM and SAMe supplements.
His medical degree is from the University of Health Sciences
/Chicago Medical School. He graduated summa cum laude with
a master's degrees in both Exercise Physiology and Public Health
from the University of Arizona. Additionally, his undergraduate
education includes a double major in Chemistry and Biology from
Florida International University.
Dr. Theo divides his time between practicing Clinical Preventive
Medicine and Sports Medicine at the Canyon
Ranch Medical Department and doing various teaching and volunteering activities.
His first book, The Arthritis Cure,
is an international #1 best seller and has resulted in a major
paradigm shift in the way arthritis and other chronic diseases
are treated. The book details the integrative treatment program
he developed and used on hundreds of his patients dating back
to the early 1990's.
